Scholarship Program

Hira and Renu Ahuja – Achievement Award Scholarship Program

The Hira and Renu Ahuja Achievement Award Scholarship Program is designed to recognize students who strive to improve their understanding and skills set in the Canadian workplace and enhance their employability.

How does the program work?

There are a limited number of awards available and the decision of who will be awarded the scholarship is solely at the discretion of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).  For those that qualify, the scholarship program will award a credit of $250 to the candidate to apply towards a future course as part of any EPIC College of Technology Post Graduate Certificate.

To qualify, the candidate must achieve a final grade of 80 % in any EPIC College of Technology Post Graduate Certificate course.

What are the criteria for being accepted?

  • You must successfully complete a course that is part of a Post Graduate Diploma (and be actively registered with one of the Diploma Programs - not just participanting in a single course).
  • You must be in good financial standing with your payments and finances with the college (you are not eligible if you have any outstanding balances owing to the college).
  • You must apply for the award to the Engineering Institute of Canada.

The successful scholarship candidate will receive a credit of $250 to apply to any future Post Graduate Certificate course.

To apply, complete and send the application form to:
The Engineering Institute of Canada
1295 Hwy 2 E
Kingston, ON K7L 4V1
Attn: John Plant, Executive Director

Along with:
  • proof of successful completion of a course in qualifying Post Graduate Certificate Program with a grade of 80 % or higher,
  • proof of all balances having been paid to the college

Bursary Program

This program is based on merit and whether you qualify will be determined on your results/grades from prior institutions you have graduated from. To apply you must actively register for a Diploma program (not just a single course) and forward a copy of your transcript(s) from previous institutions you graduated from. This bursary is awarded at the sole discretion of EPIC College.

Charitable Donations

A donation of $ 20,000 was made in 2011 to the Engineering Institute of Canada for Hira and Renu Ahuja Scholarship fund for the Post-Graduate Diploma Engineering Programs of the EPIC College of Technology.

Another donation of $ 40,000 was made in 2011 to the Private Charitable Foundation of the TD Canada Trust to donate principle and interest distributed over a ten year period to fund the Hira and Renu Ahuja Bursary Fund already set up with the Engineering Institute of Canada for the benefit of the students at the EPIC College of Technology.
